This summer, I had the pleasure of photographing the adventurous S family as they spent the evening in their summer haven, creating memories to last a lifetime. Flanders Hotel Wedding, Ocean City, NJ - Billy + Amy

Yesterday was the official start of wedding season 2023 and it started off with a BANG! Amy and Billy were married and the excitement level was high, from their getting ready at the Flanders Hotel, to their ceremony at St. Joseph Church in Sea Isle City (their happy town), to their lively reception with entertainment by the band Midnight Hour. We endured rain, fog, and even the sun popped out to say hello yesterday. A very big congratulations to the newlyweds, Mr. and Mrs. Gormley!

Sea Isle City Engagement Session: Billy + Amy

On a warm Sunday evening in July, I met Billy and Amy in their favorite place Sea Isle for their engagement session. As we started off in the sand and towards the ocean by the dunes and then Billy told me his family was gathered on the beach still. So we had to head over to take a photo with them! They were sitting in a circle, laughing, talking, and if his is any indication of how fun the wedding is going to be… let’s just say I’m ready for a good time! Amy and Bill twirled, toasted, ran and cuddled… all the fun things that take place during an engagement session. I’m so excited for their wedding TOMORROW. Ocean City, NJ Family Beach Portraits - B Family

Cotton candy skies, warm breeze, children laughing. THIS is what summer evenings are all about in Ocean City, New Jersey - my happy place. The B family has been trusting me for a few years now to capture their family, and this year was very special, because grandmom and grandpop joined as well! What a FABULOUS way to commemorate a family vacation or to spend an evening with family. The B family was down for just one evening and was headed over to the famous Ocean City, New Jersey boardwalk for ice cream and of course, the rides.

Whitesbog Village Family Session: Danielle

There’s nothing like watching a family grow throughout the years. But with photographing a family every year, we have the challenge of keeping the location fresh- this year we decided on Whitesbog Historic Village in Browns Mills, New Jersey. We traveled down a dirt road for quite some time and then we found it- such a hidden gem.

Danielle is a friend of mine, and my bride’s probably recognize her from their wedding day- as we often shoot together- she’s my work wife :) She has the best fashion sense right down to everyone’s outfits- even the kids.

We had some beautiful winter light shining through the trees along hiking paths and hopefully made some new great photographs (and memories) for this very special family.

Ocean City, NJ Wedding- The Flanders Hotel - Kerry and Mike

I love a good winter wedding for many reasons but one of them being it’s close to the holidays so there’s extra holiday magic in the air… and decor too! If you haven’t visited the Flanders Hotel during the holiday season- I highly suggest it! Kerry and Mike had such a lovely December day. Kerry started off at the Divine Images Salon and Spa in the hotel for getting ready with her bridesmaids. Long Branch Trolley Company picked up the bride and her girls and took them to church where Kerry and Mike exchanged vows. We headed to the 11th street beach in Ocean City for portraits with the bridal party, where the sky was absolutely beautiful. We endured the cold and soon joined the party inside the Flanders Hotel. Congratulations to Kerry and Mike on their special day!

Johnson's Locust Hall Micro Wedding: Meghan + Kyle

I’m looking back at this gorgeous day- the day Meghan and Kyle decided getting married was not going to wait. With just as much joy, attention to detail, purposefulness, and love- they were married in the winter of 2020 (aka Covid times). But the story gets better- the following year, they would get the celebration they deserved with extended family and friends at the same great venue- Johnson’s Locust Hall Farm. There were so many negatives to Covid times, but the one (and maybe only) amazing positive was the chance for a second wedding! I would jokingly say to clients (pre-Covid), “This was SO much fun! Let’s do it again next year!” Well, for some clients during theses times, it actually happened!

Their First Dance was so magical in the barn… just the two of them!

There’s no getting in the way of the Mother of the Bride and Mother of the Groom. I love this photo so much!

If you’re ever wondering, “Should I wear a fur shawl to my wedding?” The answer is always yes. 100%.

Batsto Village Engagement, Hammonton, New Jersey: Taylor and Matt

Taylor contacted me specifically looking for a winter engagement session. I was THRILLED because usually clients want the warmth of summer or the leaves falling, so I love when someone comes along and shakes things up! Taylor and Matt landed on Batsto Village in Hammonton for their session location. Batsto is such a great spot- there are so many great locations/textures, there’s water, tall grass, rustic buildings, and to top it off- it’s DOG friendly! Which brings me to the star of the engagement session- Archie, their adorable pup. Well he wasn’t the star, but I sure thought he was the cutest teddy bear I ever saw. Taylor and Matt, we had an amazing session, congratulations on your engagement!!

Medford Lakes, New Jersey Micro Wedding: Jen and Danny

Three days before Christmas, Jen and Danny exchanged vows in historic Braddock’s Tavern with their parents gathered round. Just before their wedding ceremony, Jen and Danny met me at Cathedral in the Woods and then beach three in Medford Lakes for their session. The beach in Medford Lakes is one of my favorite places to shoot and it’s even better when it ends with a gorgeous sunset. They brought along a red blanket to keep them warm (which made for a great prop) and then ended with matching flannel shirts. They were such good sports while we shot in the cold! Congrats Jen and Danny!
