Ridley Creek State Park Engagement, Media, Pennsylvania Engagement: Rob and Heather
Heather and Rob’s engagement session was my last session of the year- December 30, 2018. Typically, my season quiets down in November, but this year, I was lucky enough to have several winter weddings and ended the year on a beautiful December afternoon with these two who were home visiting family in PA for the holidays. I had actually run into Heather and Rob the day before their engagement session, while I was photographing a wedding at their venue. We had the warmest winter sunlight, and they also brought along their adorable pup, Lucy, so we could grab a family photo. I cannot wait to see Heather and Rob again this summer at The Flanders Hotel for their wedding!
Batsto Village, Hammonton, NJ Engagement: John and Kelly
John and Kelly met while they were both working at Wegmans- and just like my favorite store, their love is wholesome, exciting, and keeps you coming back for more! ...Okay, so I'm seriously in love with Wegmans, but we'll save that excitement for another day. We headed to Batsto Village in Hammonton, New Jersey for John and Kelly's engagement session. Not only was the weather perfect, but there also happened to be a bagpipe player (not pictured) just about the entire time. We joked that John hired him just for their engagement session. John and Kelly are just as adorable as they photograph and I cannot wait until their wedding day next October!
Asbury Park Engagement Session: Eric and Becky
Color. Art. Music. Asbury Park.
Who doesn't love it there? Becky and Eric are artistic, colorful, expressive- if they were going to be a place, they would be Asbury Park. I was ecstatic for this engagement session, because I've known Becky for so many years and I knew she would be down for anything. Cue the rain. The forecast called for a 20% chance of rain- if you've been reading my blog posts, you might notice a common theme- how annoying I find the forecast :) As I drove to Asbury Park, I convinced myself the rain I was driving through must have just been passing showers, but they didn't end. As we met in the Convention Center through raindrops, we decided we would just shoot and make it work (after all, that's what would happen on a wedding day!) It's not the easiest shoot, having to hold your bag the entire time, putting your camera away after every couple of shots, but it makes every shot much more intentional. I couldn't be more happy that we decided to shoot in the rain. It made a unique session even more memorable. Thank you so much to Becky, Eric, and the lovely Mackenzie for braving the weather!
