Honeymoon in Costa Rica
This summer was by far one of the most memorable. One reason being our two-year-in-the-making... honeymoon. Only two short years later, we had a destination in mind and enough money to get there ;) We booked this trip based on the recommendations of friends and the hotel based on all of the fabulous reviews from TripAdvisor. Our journey started at the Newark Airport leading us to the Liberia Airport in Costa Rica. After a THREE AND A HALF HOUR drive- we arrived at the base of the Arenal Volcano at the Arenal Nayara Hotel, Spa & Gardens. Just a total of eight and a half hours of traveling, no big deal. It was worth every moment! I will never stay at another hotel that will live up to this one. The staff was amazing and the atmosphere was more than I could have imagined. We went during the rainy season, so it was cloudy most days and in the middle at night it would downpour so loud you would wake up and maybe be a little scared...or just me. After nearly a week by the volcano, we visited the gulf of Papagayo for a couple of days. There were amazing sunsets and gorgeous flora. Costa Rica holds a special place in my heart and I cannot wait to go back one day <3
Our private casita with amazing views of the volcano.

Where I spent hours reading and watching humming birds.

Our typical semi-cloudy volcano view.

The star of my vacation- the sloth... oh, and the parrot that bit my husband.

Our driver spotted this toucan on the way to our hotel, I was thankful but a little concerned about him keeping his eyes on the road.
He also spotted this guy.

Cooper River Maternity Session: Lauren
Gorgeous Lauren, is expecting her first baby in less than a month. Lauren, her boyfriend, Tony, and I met up at Cooper River one evening to get some maternity shots. She was so cooperative and willing to get great shots- a photographer's dream. Sit down, stand up, lay down- Lauren, thank you so much! Tony was such a gentleman, helping her up, making sure she was okay- totally adorable couple! Lauren is absolutely stunning and I can't wait to see her little cutie!

Long Beach Island Family Shoot
It was a Thursday evening, as I drove into LBI with my music up and my windows down. It was so relaxing. I pulled up to a gorgeous house on the beach- and I didn't want to leave. Last time I saw Breezy and her husband, Jon, their cutie daughter, Katelyn, was just born. Since then, Katelyn has grown up so much- walking, smiling, and just being adorable in general. We did a little family shoot, before we called out the rest of the family for a couple of fun beach shots. This had to be one of the most fun family shoots ever! Thanks for all the laughs :)

Senior Shoot: Chelsie
It was a Sunday in August when I met with Chelsie in Monroeville, NJ to take photographs for the start of her senior year in high school. Chelsie has gorgeous blue eyes and the sweetest personality to match. She was up for anything including standing in a lake, climbing over dead trees, and standing on railroad tracks. Best of luck in finishing up high school, the world is your oyster! P.S. Don't you wish this was popular when we graduated high school?! I just have an awful picture of myself in a macaroni and cheese yellow cap and gown... AND to make matters worse- they did not have good hair straighteners back then.

Cooper River Engagement: Trish & Karl
I remember where I was when I got the call- It was a Sunday in July around dinner time and I was driving to a beach session in Atlantic City when my best friend, Trish, called. She said that she and Karl were engaged... and the tears started. Trish and Karl were introduced to each other by matchmaker (and my other best friend) Krystal in the summer of 2010. It was right before my wedding and I remember Trish (my co-maid of honor) asking if she could bring Karl to the wedding. I said yes, of course! I knew he was a good guy! See the picture of them below (courtesy of a guest) at my wedding.
Throughout the next two years I would get to know Karl better. I couldn't believe how perfect he was for Trish. He possessed so many of the same qualities that Trish did! He was a planner. He was family oriented. He had a great sense of humor. It was so obvious that they were destined to be together. So that brings me back to the phone call in July- when you know that two people are supposed to be together and then you hear that they are getting married- the tears start!
Congrats to a truly amazing couple. I cannot wait for the wedding! <3

Engaged: Adam & Tracey Part 2
You may have seen Tracey and Adam here already on the blog. They wanted an engagement session in the winter AND in the summer. I love it! We started at Adam's family's marina. Adam's Uncle Fred, let us use his Mustang as a prop. You should know Adam loves, loves, loves cars (not as much as he loves Tracey, though!) So having the car in the shoot, was sooo Adam. Then we hit the beach, and ended (most importantly) at The Sprinkle Shack. There was no passing up Rocky Road ice cream in a sugar cone after I watched Tracey and Adam enjoy some! We had such a great time and I can't wait to celebrate Tracey and Adam next fall!
