FAQ

Canon or Nikon?

Canon!

What's your style?

I love a mixture of candid and posed shots, and also some in between. The ceremony and reception are purely candid, while family formals are strictly posed. Bride and groom portraits usually start with a pose and turn into something more natural and candid giving us great variety.

This is our first time being professionally photographed. Will you help us pose?

Yes! An engagement session is a great way to calm your nerves and get comfortable in front of the camera before the wedding day. I'll give you as much guidance as you need, but you'll be rocking it in no time!

Do you have insurance?

Yes, I have insurance on all of my gear and also general liability insurance. I can provide proof of insurance to your venue should they require it.

Should we do a first look?

I leave this up to my couples 100%. I will say doing a First Look allows for a better flow of the day, including attending your cocktail hour, however, if you have always envisioned seeing each other down the aisle, then you should.

Do we need a second photographer?

Most collections include a second lead photographer. It's important for a few reasons- to capture both Getting Readys, to capture friends and family reactions during the ceremony and reception, and just to have a different perspective.

Is this your full-time job?

Yes! I've been full-time for ten years and part-time for two years prior. I feel so lucky to have a career that I truly enjoy.

How many photographs will we get from our wedding day?

You can expect a minimum of 500 photographs- but if I have more great photographs, you are getting them! I was a bride before I was a photographer and I remember wanting all of my photos so I completely understand. If you have extra hours of coverage, if there is a second photographer, and if you do a First Look, you can expect more photographs.

How will we receive our photographs? and how long?

You'll receive your photographs through an online gallery- which is a website containing all of your photographs at a unique web address that is live for one year. You will have a password allowing you to download all of the high-resolution JPGs (with printing rights). You can also share the website with friends and family so they can check out your awesome wedding photographs. Wedding galleries take approximately 6-8 weeks, but could be sooner depending on flow of the wedding season.

Will you (Diana) be shooting our wedding? Or someone else?

When you book with Styled Pink, you are booking me (Diana)! I'll be carefully handling your wedding from helping you plan your engagement session to designing your wedding album. My business is built on relationships with my clients. I love to get to know my couples before the day of the wedding so I know what's important to them and so we are all comfortable with each other on the wedding day.

We're interested in booking- now what?

To reserve your wedding date, we'll need a signed contract (through email and super simple), and a retainer of $1,000. The balance is due one month prior to your wedding date.
