Red Bank Battlefield Park Engagement: Kristin & Jameson
On an overcast Sunday afternoon, Kristin and Jameson met me at Red Bank Battlefield Park. Jameson, interested in history, picked the perfect place for their engagement session. Let me backup, they met me in NJ... Kristin and Jameson live in Virginia, and frequently travel NJ and PA to visit family. They are a totally adorable jet-set couple, and might I add, they certainly travel well. Kristin was gorgeous in her red dress, and did I mention I love the way they look at each other- clearly so in love <3 I cannot wait to shoot their wedding next October at the Bradford Estate!

Smithville Mansion: Christmas with the Kervicks
On a chilly Saturday morning, I met the Kervick family at Smithville Mansion in Eastampton (one of my favorite places) for some Christmas pictures. They came in coordinating jackets, practicially stepping out of J.Crew. Did I mention this is one of my favorite families to photograph? I've shot their wedding photographs and Holden's first birthday photographs, and it's undeniable, they are one of the most photogenic families ever! Holden, I hope Santa brings you all the presents in the world!
Fairmount Park Engagement: Hilary & Shawn
The minute I received Hilary's email, I knew I liked her. There was so much excitement and lots of !!!!!!!! (I have been known for the love of exclamation points myself.) Hilary and Shawn have been dating for ten years, so when they got engaged in September, Hilary couldn't wait to start planning! This couple is one of the most adventurous couples I have ever met- they regularly go hiking and (even cooler) got engaged while geocaching together. We headed to the Wissahickon Trail on a bright Sunday afternoon for some hiking and engagement photos. Hilary and Shawn were ready and willing to do anything to get amazing photographs (a photographer's dream) including going barefoot in a stream, and climbing down something I would never (without crying first, see below please). They are an absolutely adorable couple who will surely spend the rest of their lives making each other happy!

Hilary and Shawn had the great (but scary) idea to climb down... I'm so happy they did, because the next shot turned out to be one of my favorites!

Family Funday
On a warm October morning, I met up with Casey, Frank, their adorable son, Frankie... oh and their cutie boston terrier. Casey and Frank had celebrated their five-year wedding anniversary (though they have been together for quite some time), and their adorable, blue-eyed son, Frankie, just turned two this summer. We played soccer, went down the slide, gave the doggy treats and just had some good old-fashioned fun! I love watching families interact with each other, it is so precious- and those are the moments I love to capture. Thanks for letting me capture this gorgeous morning of a day in the life of the Conn family!

Kevin is six months!
I first met Kevin when he was just a newborn back in April. Life at six months is a little different now. Kevin is moving around, holding his bottle, and playing with his best bud- Cooper. Kevin's parents, Heather and Steve, might be the happiest parents I've ever met. We had a chance to sit and chat while we were waiting for Kevin to wake up from a nap and the way they talk about him is so adorable. It was even more adorable when Kevin woke up and I got to see Heather and Steve in full-on parent mode. They are such an adorable, smiley, little family. Here are some shots we got to celebrate Kevin turning six months old. ...and check out Kevin's adorable Halloween costume! Enjoy!

Honeymoon Problem
I'm sure lots of honeymooners have this problem- We sure did. You are on your honeymoon, you are taking pictures of your spouse, they are taking pictures of you, and of course you get those cute closeups of your faces smushed together...but that's about it... unless you're asking the bartender (which is not my husband's style).
No tripod, no third person to take a picture- What's a gal to do? MAKE a tripod! While I was creating a makeshift tripod, my husband (sneakily) took some pictures of me with his iPad. When I saw them- I couldn't stop laughing.
Here's the step-by-step.
1.) Decide where you want to set up your camera to take an awesome picture with an even more awesome background. 2.) Find tall and sturdy furniture and stack. 3.) Pray that your camera doesn't fall over and set your camera timer.
Disclaimer: No cameras were hurt in the making. Try at your own risk!

Another makeshift tripod at our second hotel- and the result!
Absecon Lighthouse Wedding: Sherri & Mark
It was a warm Sunday afternoon in July when Sherri, Mark, and I relived their wedding day. Sherri and Mark were married at the Absecon Lighthouse, neighboring Atlantic City and five minutes from the beach. Sherri and Mark were married on April 24, 2010 but didn't have a professional photographer to capture their day. It's never too late to to recapture that day. Some people may disagree, but whenever I go back to where I was married, my heart melts and Sherri's melted too! We had a lot of fun at the lighthouse and at the beach. Sherri & Mark ended their night with a trip to the casino in Atlantic City. This was a great night out for these awesome parents of two (handsome) boys! We planned this day for quite some time with the help of some wonderful vendors. A great friend and wonderful stylist, Kristen, did Sherri's hair and makeup. The most gorgeous flowers are from Savannah's Garden (my favorite florist in the world)! Besides being the fabulous bride, Sherri also has a business, Sherri's Hobby Shop, where she makes handmade crafts, she is so talented!Sherri made the invitations, banner, mason jars and decor.
