Shooting for a cause: Broadway Sings for the Children of Honduras
When Renee (a fabulous wedding planner) called and asked if I would be interested in helping out for a great cause, I couldn't turn it down. Amigos De Jesus is an orphanage in Honduras which was co-founded in 1997 by a Philadelphia Priest and supported by many local residents. This event was all about embracing everything the orphanage has become and continuing the support. Orphans from Honduras were in attendance and the love and gratitude they displayed was absolutely heartwarming.
Held at the Kimmel Center, Braodway stars from Wicked, Shrek, Next to Normal, and In the Heights performed for supporters and they did not disappoint! It was such an amazing opportunity to give back to the community as well as catch a really great show! It's hard to pick a favorite performance, but when Robin De Jesus performed "Let it Go" in Spanish I had goosebumps.

Smithville Mansion Maternity Photographer: Joann & Neil
Joann and Neil are just around the corner from a new chapter in their lives (and one of the best!)- PARENTHOOD! They adore each other and it's easy to see, that they are going to adore the sweet baby they bring into the world. Boy or girl? Who knows! Either way, there will be love, and a whole bunch of it. Congrats Joann and Neil! There's nothing better than a sweet baby to call your own! Sit back and enjoy their maternity session photographs taken at the beautiful Smithville Mansion, in Mt. Holly, NJ!
Camden County Boathouse Wedding: Katherine & Emanuel
It was a sunny and humid afternoon as Katherine stepped into her stunning gown, the final step of getting ready before leaving for the Camden County Boathouse on Cooper River, to marry Emanuel. Her bridesmaids by her side, in shades of blush, with finishing gold details. While the girls were getting ready, Emanuel was getting ready himself, as well as getting, their son ready. As a momma, I know how precious it is to see your hubby and child together, and I am so happy we could capture these moments for the boys to remember and for Katherine to see!
The plan was to see each other at the aisle for the first time, but with reports of harsh thunderstorms just hours away, Katherine and Emanuel opted to do a First Look and boy, am I glad they did. Not just because their bridal party photographs were absolutely gorgeous outside before the storm rolled in, but because their First Look was so beautiful- on a dock, with their son, and the excitement that he just couldn't hold in. Not to mention, they attended their cocktail hour- sounds like a pretty perfect wedding day to me! Katherine and Emanuel shared their first dance and I nearly cried behind my camera (how I spend many weekends). They have a love that is so sweet and I was so thankful to be the one to capture the love story of their wedding day AND their first professional family photograph- what an honor! Here's to many, many years of happiness and health! Congrats Mr. & Mrs. Rivera!
Palmyra Family Photographer: One Cute Fam!
Every once in a while, I get to photograph adorable families and it's simply a good time! I love showing little ones the back of my camera, giving high fives, and bribing with food :) Last Sunday, I met up with Victoria, Chris, and their little man, Aiden, at Palmyra Cove for a great session. It was an overcast evening, and just as we were finishing on the beach, the sun peaked out for some gorgeous golden light.
Barn on Bridge Wedding Photographer: (More!) Kelly & Kevin
Kelly and Kevin are a couple that everyone wants to be around, they are both hilarious and so animated! They are also soooo in love! Their engagement session was a dream to shoot- it was easy to see how much they adore each other and translated so well on camera. Needless to say, I was pumped for their wedding at The Barn on Bridge in Collegeville, Pennsylvania to watch the two of them have the time of their lives with their closest friends and family.
Some of my favorite highlights of their day:
-Kelly's father peeking over her shoulder as she read a card from her future hubby the morning of their wedding.
-Their rescue greyhound, Fabio, as a handsome Ring Bearer.
-A super silly co-matron-of-honor speech.
-The groom and his mother getting ready for the big day.
-Tons of fun dance moves allllll. night. long.
The previous post is all about the beautiful bride, Kelly, getting ready- so if missed that, don't forget to check it out here!

Barn on Bridge Wedding Photographer: Kelly's Getting Ready
A lot of people ask me what my favorite part of a wedding day is... and that's a really tough question. There is so much goodness in one day- everyone is soooo overjoyed and dressed their best. One of my favorite parts of the day, is photographing the bride getting ready. It happens so naturally and unfolds beautifully. During this time, brides need very little direction and maybe because they are focused on their gorgeous gown, they don't really notice the camera. Not to mention, all of the gorgeous details I get to photograph- the shoes, the jewelry, the sash... all so pretty! I love to spend at least an hour with my brides getting ready, and of course I'll take more time if I can, because I love to capture them on their happiest day, wearing the most beautiful gown, hair and makeup perfectly done, and so much excitement in their hearts. We also did a "First Look" with the bride and her bridesmaids- that was adorable (see below)!
Here's the story of one beautiful bride, on her best day ever- Kelly at Barn on Bridge.
The Golden Inn Wedding Photographer: Jess + Justin
On a perfect June day, Jess and Justin exchanged vows with their feet in the sand, on the beach in Avalon at the Golden Inn. Jess's bridesmaids wore shades of blue, which was absolutely stunning and very appropriate for this beachside wedding. The guys sported tan (very beachy) and finished the look with suspenders- I love suspenders! Jess and Justin's first dance was one of those first dances that make photographers tear up behind their camera (this happens more often than I care to admit!). I wish nothing but the best for this happy new Mr. & Mrs.
